In memory of...

His journey's just begun.

Don't think of him as gone away
his journeys just begun,
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.

Just think of him as resting
from the sorrow and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.

Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.

And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched...
for nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much.

Head Space.

Not got many words this week, so going to share a poem I wrote a few years ago. It kind of sums me up this week. I find it strange how some things in life just don't change no matter how hard you try to make it different.

Head Space

Cloaked and brooding it waits.
Slowly it seeps through breaking down the barriers.
Why it comes I do not know, those nagging doubts and insecurities escalating into something unknown.
The drip feed soon becomes a flood and thoughts and reason spiral out of control.
Leaving only the darkness for comfort.

Weather blur.

Red Balloon.

Oh red balloon, Oh red balloon,
You rise up fast and over the trees,
You bounce and bop on the gentle breeze.

You float up high on the Summer air,
I hope you travel far without a care.

Take my worries and take my woes,
Carry them as far as the wind will blow.

You disappear so fast from my sight,
Swallowed so quickly by the evening light.

Oh red balloon, Oh red balloon,
When you burst and fall from the sky,
I will hear your pain and let out a sigh.

Rewind and rewrite.

A rather damp Ralia yet again.

Now I think it is fair to say that I have not been in the finest of fettle for a good few months now. I am not going to divulge the reasons on here, but my wee blip has rather messed with my motivation and imagination. Recent thoughts have taken me back to days gone by that have been some of the most enjoyable of my life. Doing this reminded me of a point on my travels where I was worried about time and how I use time. I am going to repost a poem that I wrote in a post called "Time. It's a funny old game. Part II" back in 2010. I am reposting not because I think this is in any way a fantastic contribution to literary brilliance, but because thinking about it helps give me a little kick up the butt, hopefully!

Time, it marches so proudly,
Always forwards and never back.
So swiftly it slips unnoticed through our fingers,
Ticking, ticking, ticking.
When we are young, time is unimportant and we seem invincible.
It is only age that shapes the reality of time as it runs away with our days,
Always forwards and never looking back.
Make the most of every day, so that memories will brighten your darkest thoughts.
Be always hopeful that time will be kind and serve you well.
Be gracious and thankful to the good times, but learn and gain wisdom from the bad.
Don't waste time by thinking, what if?
Use time and ask yourself, what now?
Time is valuable and precious and yet we often treat it with disrespect,
But regardless, time will move on even if we suddenly do not.
Do not miss a second, do not miss a beat.
It will pass without you, always forward and never back.
Time.

On a lighter, note one observation from last week was that I saw a sheep, in a field, sitting down on it's haunches, which I thought was quite strange. I have seen them lying down and kneeling but never just sitting. It really did look like Shaun the sheep. Well I thought it was funny.

Thought for the day

I saw this on my wanderings through the wonderful world wide web and liked it. Not sure who wrote it. Enjoy.

I am everything and I am nothing.

An atheist today, Agnostic tomorrow.

Humanist.

Buddhist.

Skeptic.

Universalist.

Free thinker.

Existentialist.

I am all these titles.

I am none of these titles.

I live without boundaries.

I live without titles.

I live without fear.

Love.

Love is all you need.
